I've been lucky this year, so far [knocks wood], no colds or flus.

Wait 'til you see the photos Sonoe sent me of her dad at the Godzilla statue at Toho Studios with his award. They'll be in the next G-FAN (#87).Armand Vaquerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13111693826245895173noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3252368450821139612.post-11548642866316170132009-01-04T14:32:00.000-08:002009-01-04T14:32:00.000-08:00Thanks, Armand! It really left a lasting impression.

I'm glad that everything came together for the award, but sometimes I wonder if he should have received it in 2000? He may have been the "terror of Japan" in many kaiju forms, but he is really one of the nicest guys in show biz.

He was deeply moved by the ovation he received when he was awarded the "Mangled Skyscraper." I noticed tears in his eyes while photographing the ceremony. It was definitely an award richly deserved!Armand Vaquerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13111693826245895173noreply@blogger.com
