"There is so much writing in English on Japanese cinema that can't be accepted at face value — not because the writers are careless, but because the differences in culture and language are just too intricate. When I see August Ragone's name on a piece of writing, it gives me permission to place my faith in it completely. Among Japanese fantasy film historians, he's the best working in English." —Tim Lucas, Video Watchdog

very nice! it brought back a memory of a friend and i going to see Tidal Wave(Submersion Of Japan)at a theater back in the day- some wise guy had drawn a little word balloon on the lobby poster next to Lorne Greene's picture and it said, "RUN!!!"...

Looks cool. Too bad I bet it would cost $600 and up to get on ebay. Thanks August.

Amusingly, the ad copy completely misinterprets the plot of the film. this is great, though, I probably haven't seen that poster in 40 years.
